Bliss is one of the UK’s leading charities for sick and premature babies. Through their Bliss Nurses, volunteers and groundbreaking improvements on neonatal wards across the country, they have helped thousands of sick and premature babies and their families and made a huge difference in this so very difficult time for parents.
When Bliss approached us to make a film about their fantastic achievements over the last year, we wanted to make a film that is different and whilst celebrating Bliss’s successes, also shows the seriousness of the matter. We decided to use the strong images to their full potential and not actually show any of the talking heads in the film but use the interview voiceover on top of the strong visuals, with motion typography skillfully added into the pictures.
Shot on a Red Epic camera on a neonatal ward, at a parent support group and in interviewees’ homes, the film is a celebration of Bliss’s achievements and shows just how big an impact their work makes.
