Just this week Facebook announced its latest tool, and it is all about charity! The new tool called ‘fundraisers’ aims to make it even easier for supporters to donate to charities directly through Facebook.

The new tool fundraisers allows charities to set up dynamic and informative campaign pages. Here charities can feature a video, explain the motivation behind the campaign, collect donations, and share their fundraising goals. The new campaigns pages even show how many people have contributed, how much money needs to be raised, and suggest possible donations. Moreover all posts that supporters share on their own facebook pages will include donation buttons making it even easier for others to donate. No longer do people need to click through to a new page.
Facebook has just made the supporters journey easier. Facebook is a great tool for engaging and spreading awareness with your audiences. Yet before fundraisers, people had to click through to a different website in order to make a donation. Eliminating this extra click, will make supporting your cause even easier.
While the tool is still in the experimental phase, its potential is why this announcement is big charity digital news. And it won’t be long until this tool is widely available for all charities.
