It’s hard to predict which shareable videos will reach viral status. By focusing on your message and your audience though you can ensure the overall success of your shareable video. Reaching an audience that matters to your cause will have more value than reaching a wide audience that will not engage with your message.

Check out these shareable video examples for some insights and tips:

Lindsey’s Story – Macmillan Cancer Support

Focusing on the personal true story of Lindsey, allows this film to emotionally engage and connect with audiences. Everyone knows someone with cancer, but not everyone knows how alone many people affected by cancer feel. By shining light into these personal struggles, we were able to connect the audience to the difference Macmillan can make, and how important it is for them to reach out to those they know with cancer.

Power of Okay – See Me

The aim of this video was to inspire people to talk about mental health. Knowing that their audience was unsure about how to approach this topic, See Me used a poem supported visually by everyday objects to show that it can be simple. Just use the power of okay. This video was viewed well over 200,000 times on youtube and sparked a 100s of comments about mental health across reddit and Facebook.

First World Problems Anthem – The Gift of Water

This video strength is that it connects an audience’s problems to the bigger picture. Leaving your phone charger downstairs is nothing compared to the other problems that people face around the world. It is this juxtaposition that makes this message resonates with viewers, and inspires them to do more.
