Great case study subjects can be hard to find, you need to find a person with a story to tell that also fits with your film’s objectives and messaging. Yet the effort will be worth it, as great case studies ensure your film simultaneously informs and emotionally engages your audience. To read more about case study videos’ benefits click here.

Here are a few examples of some great charity case study videos:

Body Image – Macmillan Cancer Support

Nearly all those affected by cancer will at some point suffer from body image issues; it has become a fundamental element of the cancer experience. It is this struggle that we wanted to represent through our film with Macmillan. We created a film that showed the different experiences people have had with their body image, and how they coped. Moreover the film highlights that people with cancer are not alone in their struggles.

Final Moments – British Heart Foundation

The final moments follows one family’s last memories of a lost loved one. The raw emotion captured in this film is what makes the biggest impact and resonates with the audience. This illustrates the importance of allowing case studies to tell their own story in their own words. This is what creates and impactful and effective film.

#TheLastOne – Emma Young

Using a close cut shot in this case study video really allows you to focus on Emma and her story. By having her look straight into the camera lens, the audience truly feels like she is speaking directly to them. Her honesty and positivity shine through this case study video as she shares her personal struggles and hopes. This connection to Emma motivates the audience to ensure that Emma is #TheLastOne, so that other women won’t have to face the same challenges.
