Bank Holiday – the two words everyone loves to hear because it means a long weekend! And with one coming up, here are a few fun adventures to have in London this weekend:

The London Coffee Festival

The UK’s largest coffee and artisan food event celebrates everything coffee from beans to barista demonstrations to gourmet food. The festival opens up to the public on Saturday May 2 and Sunday May 3.

Canal Cavalcade

Once a year the Inland Waterways Association organises a gathering of over 130 canal boats. They will be moored along the Grand Union Canal from Bloomfield Road to Warwick Crescent. Most of the boats will be dressed up and decorated for the occasion. Plus there will be trade stalls, refreshments and entertainment for the kids. Definitely worth the visit!

Butterflies at the National History Museum

For something a little different why not visit the limited Butterfly Exhibition at the Natural History Museum. Open only until September, this exhibits offers viewers the rare chance to see live butterflies from around the world.

Barbican Conservatory

Only open to the public on select days, this May 3rd and May 4th is your chance to see over 2000 species of tropical plants and trees. So if the rain comes head inside and check out London’s second largest conservatory!

With the weather forecasted to be rainy all weekend don’t forget to bring your umbrella with you! Maybe even take a break and have walk in your local park – check out our video above to see how much fun we had in Greenwich Park on a cloudy day. Besides even a little rain can’t ruin having an extra day to your weekend!

Have an amazing long weekend!
