Picture this: you’re standing in rue St Honoré in fashionable Paris, looking at a rather nice, expensive Moynat bag. What pops up in your head? “Hand made”? “Customisable craftsmanship”? “Timeless classic”?

Or “ergonomics” and “car roofs”?

No, we haven’t gone mad – these words have a lot more to do with luxury bags than you might imagine. Moynat, France’s oldest operating luxury bag and trunkmaker started off creating beautiful trunks that were handmade to precisely fit the shape of your car back in the days when bags were still strapped to the outside of cars. They don’t boast about it, but they were also the first people to waterproof their trunks and up to this day their trunks have retained their leg-friendly shape. Be sure to watch this fashion video
